Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you take insurance?

We are considered "out of network" by insurance carriers. However, we can provide a SuperBill to present to your insurance company for possible reimbursement as out of network.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules can change. We ask for at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a cancellation fee.

How do I prepare my child for the assessment process?

We want your child to show up as they are and not feel the pressure to perform or hide what is going on with them. Prior to the evaluation, it's important to let your child know that they will be meeting with a specialist who will ask them questions and give them some tasks to complete. You can share that our job is to understand how they learn and what they might need to do better in school. It is an opportunity to share what is going well and what has been tough. It is okay to feel nervous, but remind your child that the specialist is there to help them.

How do I know if my child needs an evaluation?

A comprehensive evaluation may be helpful if your child is struggling academically, behaviorally, socially, or emotionally. Common reasons families seek an evaluation include possible ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, learning disabilities, developmental delays, Anxiety, executive functioning difficulties, or challenges with attention, organization, and school performance. You may want to consider an evaluation if your child: Is struggling with reading, writing, math, or other academic skills Has difficulty paying attention, staying organized, or completing tasks Appears significantly behind or ahead of peers developmentally or academically Experiences social challenges or difficulty making and maintaining friendships Demonstrates behavioral or emotional concerns that interfere with daily functioning May need school accommodations, an IEP, or a 504 Plan Has been recommended for testing by a teacher, pediatrician, therapist, or other professional If you're unsure whether testing is appropriate, I offer free consultations to discuss your concerns and determine whether a psychoeducational, Autism, ADHD, or learning disability evaluation would be beneficial.

Can you diagnose my child?

Yes. I provide comprehensive evaluations for a wide range of conditions that can impact a child's development, learning, behavior, and emotional well-being. This includes Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, developmental delays, and social-emotional concerns. The evaluations are designed to identify your child's strengths and needs, provide diagnostic clarity when appropriate, and offer practical recommendations to support their success at home, school, and beyond.

What age groups do you provide testing for?

Comprehensive evaluations are provided for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2 through 21.

How much does an evaluation cost?

We charge a flat fee for our evaluations. The cost for an evaluation varies by the area(s) of concern. To best understand the needs of your child, a complimentary 30 minute consultation is provided.
